Stacey Arseneau
– Eleanor Mitchell, Deputy
TEATRON début. Stacey is a recent graduate from the Sheridan
Institute of Technology with her diploma in acting as well as a
degree in Theatre and Drama Studies from the
University of Toronto at
Mississauga. Her favourite roles include Jane
in JANE EYRE, Helena in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, and Stephanie in
STRING OF PEARLS. Stacey would like to thank her family and her
closest friends for their continued support.
Ron Boyd
– Jonathan Jay Pollard
For TEATRON Theatre, THE DYBBUK, BLUISH, KOSHER LUTHERANS, and A
HAMBURGER IN A PITA. Ron is thrilled to take on the role of Jonathan
Pollard in DECEIVED. Ron
has starred in several productions for the Holy Blossom
Temple
Stagecraft Company, among them THE PRICE, I'M NOT RAPPAPORT,
EINSTEIN'S GIFT, GOD OF VENGEANCE, and BROOKLYN BOY. He has also
performed with Juno-Award-winning children's performers Judy and
David in productions of GOLDIROCKS, PIGMANIA, RED'S IN THE HOOD, and
BEANSTOCK. Ron guest starred on an episode of CTV's CORNER GAS, and
can be seen on the web on the award-winning
web series STAR TREK: PHASE II.
Erika Brodzky
– Ann Pollard
A
native of Toronto, Erika is a
graduate of The University of Toronto. Some of her notable stage
credits include: Boy in
THE GODOT CYCLE (Toronto Fringe), Hester in EQUUS, Rosie in CABARET,
Trixi in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, Peggy in GODSPELL (Hart House
Theatre), Ceres in THE TEMPEST, Chorus in
ELECTRA (Canopy Theatre), and Viola in TWELFTH NIGHT (U of T).
She continues to study acting and voice at the Pro Actors Lab. Erika
has appeared in a number of short independent films and is currently
in the process of producing her first screenplay. She is positively
thrilled to be part of the North American première of DECEIVED.
Irving Dobbs
– Samuel Goldstein
Irving
returns for his fifth production with TEATRON after appearing as
Hellman in THIS NIGHT, Schlissel in THE TENTH MAN, Adolph Freitag in
THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, and Chaim in CHAIM'S LOVE SONG.
Born in Toronto, he is a graduate of Columbia
University Theatre Arts Dept. He
wrote, acted, and directed variety shows while in the RCAF between
flying duties as a pilot.
New York
appearances include COFFEE HOUSE, YELLOW JACKET, GOLD IN THE HILLS,
EVANGELINE, THE LITTLE CLAY CART, and OUR HEARTS WERE YOUNG AND GAY.
Adapted the book and stage managed
Columbia's production of BELLE OF NEW YORK
and directed and appeared in the off Broadway original musical TEXAS
IS TOPS. Other Toronto appearances include
DANGEROUS CORNER, JITTERS, NORMAN IS THAT YOU, and THE SUNSHINE
BOYS. Movies include
TRANSPLANT and the award winning short movie ROCK GARDEN.
He has also written several
musicals and had many of his songs recorded by various artists and
used in the sound track of the movie GOLDENROD.
Richard
Hoffman
–
Joseph Di Genova
For TEATRON Theatre, KOSHER LUTHERANS and A HAMBURGER
IN A PITA. Richard’s passion to act began with a grade four
production of ALICE IN WONDERLAND. His performance as the Mad Hatter
was a sign of things to come. After many years of “acting” as a
lawyer in his day job, including television appearances as panelist
on CP24’s HOT PROPERTIES in the role of lawyer, he is excited to be
putting his talents to use once again with TEATRON Theatre’s
production of DECEIVED.
Kunal Jaggi
– Gidi, Bob Sheldon
TEATRON Theatre début. Born and brought up in
India, Kunal is now a
Toronto
based actor. He studied at Second City and the Bad Dog Theatre
Company, and with several private studios and acting coaches. His
film credits include playing a prisoner in upcoming thriller THE
CHAMELEON and a lover in CHERRY ON TOP; he has also had a guest spot
on the TV show FraudSquad TV and performed in a commercial for
Benjamin Moore. Kunal has a professional dance background of over 5
years, performing and teaching all over North
America
with Latin dance companies. Having lived and adapted to cultures of
3 countries, he is constantly seeking opportunities to further
develop his talent and life skills.
Bob Legare – Jerry Aije
Bob is thrilled to be making his TEATRON début. Before moving to
Toronto
about a year ago, he performed extensively in
Ottawa
and Calgary.
Bob was last seen on stage as Liam in THE HOLE at the InspiraTO
festival, but is probably best known for playing the role of Evan
Moss in Gary Burns’ Genie Award- winning film
RADIANT
CITY. Selected theatre
credits include TRAVELER IN THE DARK, RICHARD II, JESUS HOPPED THE A
TRAIN, and IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Bob has also written two one-man
shows, ARE YOU PRIEST ENOUGH and IN TOW, which he performed
throughout much of western Canada.
Shelly Mazor – Nurse, various roles
Shelly is very excited for her first show with
TEATRON Theatre! She is a recent graduate of the St. Lawrence
College Musical Theatre Program. She has played roles such as Meg
March in LITTLE WOMEN and Suna in UNITY 1918 at the Brockville Arts
Centre. She would like to thank her friends and family for all their
support.
Bianca Raso
– Stage Manager
Bianca Raso is an alumna of the School
of Music at the University of South Carolina.
This is her second consecutive season with TEATRON Theatre after
stage managing HARD LOVE and KOSHER LUTHERANS. Other SM credits
include Opera at USC’s productions of LE Nozze di Figaro, RIDERS TO THE SEA, and
The Light in the Piazza.
Bianca last appeared on stage in Trustus Theatre’s 2011 Playwrights
Festival as Sylvia in the world premier production of SWING ’39.
Other onstage credits include Crissy in HAIR with Trustus Theatre,
Emily Webb in Our Town,
the First Spirit in Die
Zauberflöte, and Lucy Brown in
The Threepenny Opera
with Opera at USC. She
has also appeared on Workshop Theater's stage as Golde in
FiddleR on the Roof
and Miss Dorothy Brown in
Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Jonathan Siegel
– Doctor, Minister
For TEATRON Theatre, David Malter in THE CHOSEN, Captain Bitterger
in HOME OF THE BRAVE, and Kessler Brother in THE TENTH MAN. For the
Jewish Children's Theatre he played the Cook in THE BOOK OF RUTH.
A psychologist in private
practice, Jonathan continues to gravitate to the thrill of live
theatre and the opportunity to memorize lines as a prophylactic
measure to halt cognitive decline with the passage of years.
Jonathan appreciates the opportunity to have the challenge of
playing a double role in DECEIVED.
Tim Walker
– Brigadier General Selah
TEATRON Theatre
début. Tim has been performing professionally for 13 years. He
received the Tim Sims
Award for Comedy (George Brown
Theatre
School) and is a Canadian Comedy Award
nominee and a two time Dora Nominee (TWELFTH NIGHT, THE CLASSICAL
THEATRE PROJECT). Recent credits include ANDROMACHE (Necessary
angel), PEER GYNT (The thistle project), TWELFTH NIGHT (CTP), HORSE
(Toronto Fringe), and IN THE PINES (Red One Theatre). Tim has
developed new works for 4th Line Theatre, Theatre Kairos,
Firstdraft Theatre, Foundry theatre, Beaver Theatre, and Red one
theatre’s Sing for Your Supper series. He has studied and performed
mask, commedia, clown, and vaudeville.
Tim has trained and performed
with Second City,
the George Brown theatre school, and the International school for
comedic acting (Italy).
Sam Wertman
– Rafi Eitan
TEATRON Theatre début. Sam is thrilled to be working with Ari and
this amazing cast and crew. Sam’s previous acting credits include
playing Orson Hubble in Norm Foster’s NED DURANGO COMES TO BIG OAK
(Village Playhouse Theatre) and in Norm’s prequel SADIE FYNN COMES
TO BIG OAK (The Scarborough Theatre). Other credits include Porter
Milligan in DEATHTRAP (Village Playhouse Theatre), Robert Dubadat in
DON’T DRESS FOR DINNER (Village Playhouse Theatre), and Dr. Cedric
Seward in Nags Players’ production of the PASSION OF DRACULA. When
Sam isn’t exploring his thespian passion he spends his days as a
commercial realtor specializing in retail leasing.

Weisberg - DIRECTOR / PRODUCER
Ari’s directorship and design
credits include EDMOND, THE MELVILLE BOYS, THE AFFECTIONS OF MAY,
MURDER AMONG FRIENDS, THIS NIGHT, THE CHOSEN, THE SISTERS
ROSENSWEIG, HOME OF THE BRAVE, THE TENTH MAN, THE LAST NIGHT OF
BALLYHOO, THE GOD OF ISAAC, CONVERSATIONS WITH MY FATHER, CHAIM’S
LOVE SONG. A GLIMPSE OF THE LIGHT, THE DYBBUK,
BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, BLUISH, KOSHER
LUTHERANS, HARD LOVE and DECEIVED. Ari is the founder and artistic director of TEATRON
Toronto Jewish Theatre. He worked for 18 years as a director and a
producer for television in Kingston, Ontario. Later he was able to
come back to his first love, live theatre.
