 Carrie Adelstein - ILENE

Carrie is excited to be performing in TEATRON's production of BLUISH. Some of her previous theatre credits include: SHOWDOWN (Mixed Company Theatre), MIXED MESSAGES (Mixed Company Theatre) in both Toronto and Austria, SNOW WHITE (Big Kid Entertainment), DREAM AWAKE (York University), GUYS AND DOLLS, (Sarah Brown-John Abbott College) and THE SOUND OF MUSIC (Gretl- John Abbott College). She has appeared in commercials for Rogers and LG. Carrie would like to congratulate the cast and crew of such a wonderful production and she thanks Sean, her family and Deborah for all their amazing support.

Melissa Battey-Pratt - BETH

For Melissa, performing for a Toronto audience is a dream come true.  Raised in Kingston, Ontario, Melissa has performed ballet at the Kingston Grand Theatre, acted in several plays including THE WIZARD OF OZ as the Wicked Witch of the West and more recently was featured in Canon Corporate sales films promoting their new product line and services.  Melissa has also been a model in several fashion shows including the Fantasy Fashion Show at Gallery 1313 in Toronto.  When Melissa is not on stage, she is a full time Marketing & Communications Specialist for Monteco – an Environmental Engineering firm in Toronto

 

Ron Boyd – BEN

Ron is thrilled to be returning to the boards with TEATRON Theatre after appearing in THE DYBBUK last year. Ron has starred in several successful productions for the Holy Blossom Temple Stagecraft Company, among them THE PRICE, I'M NOT RAPPAPORT, EINSTEIN'S GIFT, GOD OF VENGEANCE, and BROOKLYN BOY. He has also performed with Juno Award winning children's performers Judy and David in productions of GOLDIROCKS, PIGMANIA, RED'S IN THE HOOD, and BEANSTOCK. Ron recently guest starred on an episode of CTV's CORNER GAS, and can be seen on the web on the award winning web series STAR TREK: PHASE II. 

Bob Cooper - MANNY

Bob is making his debut with TEATRON Theatre in BLUISH.  This is his first crossover from musicals into dramatic plays.  Most recently, he has been in productions of THE PAJAMA GAME, IOLANTHE, GUYS AND DOLLS and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.  He has been training at the Royal Conservatory of Ontario as a Classical Baritone, and has won two Gold Medals at the Kiwanis Music Festival in Voice.  He has also performed with Theatre Brantford and the Mohawk College Singers.

 

Andria Siegler- LILLIAN

Andria returns to TEATRON for her third production after appearing as Pearl Brisistsky in CHAIM'S LOVE SONG and as Ma in THE GOD OF ISAAC. She is delighted to be back working with such a fine director and a gifted cast and crew. Other selected credits include JAKES WOMEN, OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS, MY DARLING JUDITH, YESTERDAY THE CHILDREN WERE DANCING and FORTY CARATS. In her real life, Andria's favourite roles are wife, mom and grandma, and as always, she is grateful to her family and friends for their ongoing love and support.

Susan Q Wilson – LANE

TEATRON Theatre début. Selected past credits including Claire in GREAT CATHERINE by Shaw, Madame Babakina in THE DIARY OF A SCOUNDREL by Ostrovsky and Princess Elena Krassiloff in WAYS AND MEANS by Coward. (Hart House Theatre, Robert Gill director). She also played Edith in THE WOMEN by Booth Luce (University College, U of T). Last month, Susan created the role of Druphonia in THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, an original English pantomime romp mounted by The NAGs Players.

   
       
             
   

Ari Weisberg - DIRECTOR / PRODUCER

Ari’s directorship and design credits include EDMOND, THE MELVILLE BOYS, THE AFFECTIONS OF MAY, MURDER AMONG FRIENDS, THIS NIGHT, THE CHOSEN, THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG, HOME OF THE BRAVE, THE TENTH MAN, THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, THE GOD OF ISAAC, CONVERSATIONS WITH MY FATHER, CHAIM’S LOVE SONG. A GLIMPSE OF THE LIGHT, THE DYBBUK and BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS. Ari is the founder and artistic director of TEATRON Toronto Jewish Theatre. He worked for 18 years as a director and a producer for television in Kingston, Ontario. Later he was able to come back to his first love, live theatre.

Noam Bergman Small Web view Noam Bergman – COMPOSER

Noam has enjoyed music his whole life, and is only growing more attached to the art as he continues as a music composer. He is the winner of multiple original composition awards and his music appears in several web games. Noam created the acclaimed music for TEATRON’s production of THE DYBBUK last year and is excited about the opportunity to compose and design the sound for BLUISH.

Tamar is delighted to be once more part of a TEATRON production after being Props Mistress for most of the theatre productions including THE CHOSEN, THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG, HOME OF THE BRAVE, THE TENTH MAN, THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, THE GOD OF ISAAC, CONVERSATIONS WITH MY FATHER., CHAIM’S LOVE SONG, A GLIMPSE OF THE LIGHT THE DYBBUK and BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS. Born in Poland and educated in France, Israel, England and Canada, her interest in theatrical "props" is an extension of work in sculpture, design and painting

Glenna studied  costume design at College LaSalle in Montreal. She has worked with Icebreaker, Philms Pictures, Geordie Productions, Repercussion Theatre, and Vice.  She is thrilled to be part of TEATRON Theatre's production, Bluish.

Alicia_Ho_B&W.jpg Alicia Ho - LIGHTING DESIGNER

Alicia is a graduate from Queen’s University with a BA Honours in Environmental Science and Drama.  After graduation, she has worked as House Technician for theatre festivals such as, Fringe Festival and Summerworks.  In pursuit of her career goal to work on the Broadway stage, she has apprenticed with renowned Lighting Designers such as Beth Kates, Kimberly Purtell, and Harry Frehner at the Banff Centre.  Her past experiences range from being a translator & ASM for RedSky's TONO, a dance piece that is featured in the Beijing and Vancouver Olympics, to lighting designing for Queen’s Musical Theatre (HAIR and MAN OF LA MANCHA), Queen's Student Opera Company's DIDO AND AENEAS, TorCanAA's TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE, and working as technician on a variety of shows in Toronto
Alicia is thrilled to be working with Teatron Theatre for the first time and would like to thank Ari Weisberg for giving her this design opportunity.

 Diego is excited to be a part of BLUISH in the Assistant Stage Management role as opposed to the Stage Manager for once. ‘Bout time somebody else did the heavy lifting, he says. Stage Management credits include THE WEEPING SALSA (Zocalo Toronto), TO AUDIENCE, WITH SINCERITY (Victoria College Drama Society), A LINE IN THE SAND (The Lightbox Project), and TEEN SLEUTH AND THE FREED CYBORG CHOIR. He’d like to thank his family and friends for their continued awesomeness, and especially Vikki and Kate for listening to his plentiful late night rants.

Kivi Kivi Shapiro – STAGE MANAGER

Kivi is active both on and offstage with TEATRON Toronto Jewish Theatre.  He stage managed CONVERSATIONS WITH MY FATHER and A GLIMPSE OF THE LIGHT, and was seen in CHAIM'S LOVE SONG and THE DYBBUK.  He is pleased to be working with Ari once again.

 

Michael Sandberg – Carpenter, ASM

Michael has worked in different capacities on most of TEATRON Theatre’s productions including THE CHOSEN, THE SISTERS ROSENSWEIG, HOME OF THE BRAVE, THE TENTH MAN, THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO, THE GOD OF ISAAC, CONVERSATIONS WITH MY FATHER., CHAIM’S LOVE SONG, A GLIMPSE OF THE LIGHT and THE DYBBUK. He particularly enjoys figuring out solutions to difficult construction and technical problems.
