A GLIMPSE OF THE LIGHT Nov. 12 to 23, 2008
Nala’s first encounter with the stage started at the tender age of 7, as a dancer. Upon arriving in Toronto at the age of 11, she continued to educate herself in the performing arts world by attending dance and music schools. Now a graduate of George Brown College (theatre program) and Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts (musical theatre program), Nala is pursuing her passion as a career. Her stage and film credits include IS THERE LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, THE LARAMIE PROJECT, PINOCCHIO, and 8:21.
Martin’s acting career started too many years ago with musical theatre in England, performing in such shows as KISS ME KATE and HALF A SIXPENCE. It is therefore exciting to be part of a musical production again. Martin’s more recent career in Canada has included many comedies, Fringe shows, and CBC productions. Martin is currently part of the BardBusters production company, acting in MACBETH and TWELFTH NIGHT for intimate high school classroom performances.
Tori is thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful production. Past theatre credits include RAM ALLEY, 7 STORIES, THE CHANGELING, THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, and TWELVE ANGRY JURORS. Tori is a graduate of Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts.

Gloria visits her grandchildren in Eretz Yisrael at least twice a year, making this story and Israel especially meaningful to her.

Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, Asna came to Canada at the age of nine. The daughter of an opera singer who was a soloist with the Kiev Opera and then with the Red Army Choir, Asna is a lifelong “opera nut” and theatre lover who began her schooling at the Conservatory of Music in Vilnius. She has an extensive knowledge of Italian, French and Russian opera repertoire. She also holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature (Medieval Theatre) from University of Toronto. Asna has acted in community theatre and spent one summer at the Banff Festival's opera department where she was assistant stage manager for Britten’s “Albert Herring”. For the past four years Asna’s opera dreams have come true as she has been working for the Canadian Opera Company as a “performer in a non-singing role” playing everything from a convent nun to a prison prostitute, and where, according to her, she has “the best seat in the house”. Asna is proud and happy to be contributing to TEATRON’s excellent work.
